Confirmed tornado touched down less than two miles from Greenwich as storms flooded roads

A confirmed EF-0 tornado formed in Purchase, N.Y., on Tuesday, July 22, and dissipated less than two miles from the Connecticut border, while severe storms dumped more than 4.4 inches of rain on parts of Greenwich, caused hundreds of power outages, closed two beaches, and brought a second round of flooding on Thursday, July 24.
